Buona domenica!

I am very happy today, as I finally found somebody that will take care of creating my logo! I really wanted to have one but I am so terrible in design that I could not dare doing it myself. Step by step, everything is gaining its shape… To celebrate this little achievement, today I decided to grant me a little, juicy treat : spaghetti al pomodoro fresco – spaghetti with fresh tomato sauce. It was so good I decided to share my delight with you.
When it comes to this dish, what I always say is: you might not be able to buy happiness, but you can certainly buy all ingredients to prepare spaghetti, and you’ll be close enough to heaven. (more…)

Hello there!

The preparation of my blog is taking a little bit more than expected, I am still working on it and that’s the snack I have prepared for myself this afternoon while trying to understand how to play with pages and posts.
So, here is my coming soon nr 2, but this time with a little Italian treat annexed. Enjoy!

The word Bruschetta (pronunciation: brooskehtta, and not brusshetta) comes from the verb bruscare – in Rome’s dialect, to toast – and it indicates a basic poor plate of our old rural tradition. Peasants needed to make the most out of bread, as they had to eat the same for more days: by toasting it, it regained its fragrance. Initially, some oil, salt and garlic were the only seasonings; today bruschetta is nearly becoming a gourmet dish! Me, I privilege a rustic, classic tomato bruschetta, which smells home, countryside, neverending aperitivi with friends… (dreaming).
